In the morning we drive through the picturesque hilly landscape of the Toggenburg/Appenzell region, where the world seems to stand still and traditional Swiss lifestyle is lived. You will visit a farm in Urnäsch. Help the farmer to guide the cows to the meadow, make your own little hale plush toy and watch the exciting pig race and try to play at the famous Swiss music instrument Alphorn. Next stop is the town of Appenzell where all the houses are beautiful handmade painted. In the afternoon we drive over Vaduz/Liechtenstein – the country in the country.

Visit the farm. Help the farmer with the cows, grab the eggs from the chicken and make your own plush toy out of dry grass. One of the highlights of the farm visit is the pig race. Choose your preferred pig and cheer at the pig race. The other highlight is the farmer Tony and how he plays the Swiss traditional instrument “Alphorn”. Try yourself to play it.

Take a short walk through the vineyards or try the housemade vine. From Vaduz it is a short drive to the famous Heidiland. Step into Heidis footsteps, the world’s most famous children book and visit the heidihouse and her museum and relax in the park watching the little zoo. On the way back we stop at Walenstadt to take a photo of the breathtaking lake surrounded by sheer rock walls.

The Royal family owns a vineyard close to the city of Vaduz where you can not only sample the local wines, but also dine out. This place has something to offer to everyone and anyone. You are free to walk through the vineyard. At the paths leading through the vineyard, you will find some boards explaining several steps in wine making.

The Rotes Haus is located at a corner of the vineyard and is the oldest preserved house in Liechtenstein and was once part of a monastery. It was built in the late 15th or early 16th century, but the characteristic tower however wasn’t added until 1807.Later we will visit Heidiland and explore Heidi’s original house and the Heidi museum.
