The African Explorer is a rolling hotel offering two categories of compartments – The Elephant compartment and the Leopard compartment. It has two air-conditioned restaurant cars, a bar car and a lounge car with panorama windows and an open observation platform. Tasty three course dinners are served in one sitting. There is no formal dress code on the train and smart evening dress code is not required. A doctor on board throughout the journey.

COST: Elephant Category: From USD 6300 Per Person on Twin sharing basis
Elephant category compartments offer private shower and toilet, air-conditioning, 220/230 V sockets, a small safe, towels, a compact wardrobe with coathanger, small bedside cabinets, one small bottle of water per person per day on the train. The compartment (approx. 75 ft2/7 m2) are equipped with two single berths next to each other or with a double berth. There is a total of 5 cars in the elephant category with 5 compartments each
Leopard Category: From USD 8340 Per Person on Twin sharing basis
Leopard category compartments, in addition to the features of the Elephant category compartments offer a small sitting area and are located closer to the restaurant cars. The compartments (approx. 107 ft2/10m2) are equipped with two single berths or one double bed. There is a total of 5 cars in the leopard category with 3 suites each.
