With Mont Blanc as a towering backdrop, Nira Montana is nestled in the sports-focused ski resort of La Thuile in the northwestern part of the Aosta Valley, close to the French border and neighbouring Courmayeur.
ACCOMMODATION:
Using natural materials and textures, Nira Montana`s comfortably chic rooms reflect nature`s beauty. The wallpaper pattern has a ‘forest’ theme, the wooden floors resemble the trunks of trees and the furnishings celebrate nature`s warm, timeless charm. Blending tradition with striking modernity, warm colours combine with white designer chairs and Foscarini lamps. High-quality Hastens beds ensure a restful night and Lavazza Espresso Machines perk up the day. All rooms also have tea-making facilities and a minibar. Wi-Fi is freely available and all rooms feature a flat- screen TV and an iPod docking station. The luxurious bathrooms have walk-in rain showers.
Deluxe Rooms:
Covering 21-29 sqm, Deluxe rooms have a King or Queen bed and unrestricted views of the surrounding mountains. Twin beds are available on request. Most rooms have a balcony or terrace and connecting rooms may be pre-booked. Maximum occupancy: Two people.
Grand Deluxe Rooms:
The Grand Deluxe Rooms cover 30-39 sqm and each has a King or Queen bed and a balcony or terrace with unrestricted views of the mountains. Twin beds are available and some rooms have a walk-in closet or a second desk in a window niche. Many Grand Deluxe Rooms also feature a double sofa bed. Maximum occupancy: Four people (2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years), or three adults.
Loft Rooms:
Spread over 2 floors, the Loft Rooms cover 34 sqm. Each has a King bed, a double sofa bed and a balcony with high-level views of the Aosta Valley mountains. Twin beds are available on request. Maximum occupancy: Three people (no children under 12 years).
Junior Suites:
Covering 40-50 sqm, Junior Suites feature a King bed and unrestricted mountain views. Most have a double sofa bed and a balcony. Maximum occupancy: Four people (2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years), or three adults.
Suites:
The largest hotel suites in La Thuile, Nira Montana`s Suites cover 56-64 sqm. Each has a King bed, a double sofa bed, a comfortable seating area and unrestricted mountain views. Most have a balcony and some have storage space for luggage. Maximum occupancy: Four people (2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years), or three adults.
RESTAURANTS AND BARS:
Stars Restaurant offers the best of Italian cuisine, using the finest, freshest local ingredients. Brimming with fresh ideas, our talented chefs focus on simplicity and purity, sourcing high-quality produce to create menus based on seasonality and regional specialties. Focaccia bread and true Neapolitan pizza is baked in an authentic wooden pizza oven from Florence. The restaurant offers all-day dining, with a healthy breakfast buffet in the morning and a la carte service in the evening. The ambiance is sophisticated yet casual, with local design touches. Room service is also provided.
The hotel`s wine cellar is stocked with carefully chosen vintages, and signature cocktails, combining the crisp and natural ambience of the surrounding mountain area with the modernity of the hotel, are served all day in the Stars Bar & Lounge.

Reflecting its picturesque mountain setting and inspired by the natural elements, the hotel`s Nira Spa offers a range of holistic treatments in a serene and elegant environment. Bespoke programmes and treatments, using only the best natural products, are designed to suit guests specific needs.
Privacy is the essence at the treatment rooms, where pampering treatments can be provided to guests who want a purely indulgent experience, either alone or as a couple. There are 3 single treatment rooms, a private spa with a double treatment room and a room for manicures and pedicures. In addition to Nira Spa, the Private Spa can be booked either for a number of hours or for an entire day. Either a couple or a small group of friends can reserve this small hideaway to enjoy a day of relaxation and wellbeing.

MEETINGS & EVENTS:
Nira Montana Conference room flooded with natural light, is the ideal place for incentive meetings, while at night it is the perfect place to host gala dinners. The 177 sqm room can seat up to 100 people (theatre style) and offers a functional foyer area and a second meeting room for up to 10 people.
KIDS` CLUB:
Providing as much fun as the nursery slopes, our Kids Club has flexible opening hours and lots of space to play. The toys, books and games appeal to all ages.
WINTER ACTIVITIES:
With 160km of ski slopes and a range of nursery, intermediate and advanced runs, La Thuile offers open-space skiing on un-crowded slopes amid picturesque scenery. Espace San Bernardo, covering 80 pistes in France and Italy, links the French resort of La Rosiere with La Thuile. One single international pass provides access to 38 efficient lifts carrying up to 58,000 people per hour. Skiing either side of the French and Italian borders, in the silent presence of Mont Blanc and Rutor glacier, is a breathtaking experience. Unusually, thanks to La Thuile`s efficient lifts, skiers and snowboarders rarely encounter queues.
The ski runs leave from an altitude of 1,450m in La Thuile, not far from Nira Montana, and reach over 2,600m in an area known as Belvedere. Run number 3 is a challenging black 73% gradient piste dedicated to Franco Berthod, an exceptional skier and coach born in La Thuile who made downhill skiing history. This run is approved for World Cup competitions.
Nordic skiing, heliskiing, free-riding and snow-kiting are popular around La Thuile and there are many opportunities for winter walks and guided snowshoe excursions.
SUMMER ACTIVITIES:
La Thuile has a pleasant summer climate that is perfect for nature walks and mountain sports. As the snow melts, skiers and boarders make way for mountain-bikers, walkers, rafters, canoeists and climbers.
Hotel guests are free to enjoy the natural beauty of Valle d`Aosta featuring the Grand Paradiso National Park and the Piccolo and Grand San Bernardo Passes.
Each summer, the Cheval D`Aoste stables open for high-altitude horse riding and pony-trekking. Beginners are welcome to join ‘Baptism of the Saddle’ lessons. Hardy souls head for the heated mountain-top swimming pool, golfers descend on the local courses and anglers head up to Lake Verney, 2088m above sea level, in search of trout.
Mountain bikers can reach the top of the mountain with their bikes using the Bosco Express and Chalet Express chair lifts. Fifteen different free ride courses begin at 2,400m, coded by different colours based on the level of difficulty. The 220km of gravity defying paths wind through the panoramic forests and pastures between Italy and France.
